Transfer Stack Ownership

Note: Only the owner of the stack can perform this step.

To transfer the ownership of a stack to another Contentstack user, a stack owner needs to perform the following steps:

1. Go to your stack and click on the “Settings” icon on the left navigation panel. By default, you will be on the Stacks page.
2. Click on Transfer Ownership on the top right.
3. Enter the email address of the person to whom you want to transfer the stack’s ownership.
   

   Note: Make sure the intended user is already a Contentstack user.

4. Click on Transfer.

Now, the specified user will receive an email request to accept the ownership of the stack.

After the user accepts this request, he/she becomes the owner of your stack. You, then, do not have the right to make any changes to the stack or to the content within.
