Update a Publish Rule

Editing a publish rule allows you to update parameters or conditions to ensure content governance remains accurate and aligned with changing workflows or policy requirements.

Note: Only the stack owner, admin, or developer can update a publish rule.

To update a Publish Rule, log in to your Contentstack account and follow these steps:

1. Navigate to your stack and click the “Settings” icon in the left navigation panel, or press the shortcut key “S” (on both Windows and macOS).
2. In the left panel, select Workflows and go to the Publish Rules tab.
3. Click the vertical ellipsis icon in the Actions column of the desired Publish Rule and select Edit. Alternatively, click the relevant Publish Rule to begin editing.

The Rule Details page opens. You can edit the parameters and conditions as needed.
