Have you had the urge to share something you’ve figured out, a clever workaround, a clean solution, a lesson learned the hard way? We want to hear from you! The Contentstack Community Author Program is an open invitation to anyone building with Contentstack. Whether you're a developer, a technical marketer, a content architect, or a curious tinkerer who loves solving problems, this program is for you.

We’re creating space for real, practical, human stories from people who are doing the work. Building things, testing ideas, connecting tools, and making the Contentstack ecosystem even stronger by sharing what they’ve learned.

This isn’t just another corporate content engine. It’s a community-powered platform designed to:

  • Encourage genuine knowledge sharing
  • Amplify real voices and practical experience
  • Support contributors with editorial guidance and recognition
  • Showcase the incredible ways people are using Contentstack in the real world

Ever googled a problem and found a blog that saved your day? Be that blog.

We’ve all had that moment. You’re in the middle of a build, deep in the zone. Things are clicking. You’re making progress. Then, out of nowhere, your code hits a roadblock. Suddenly, there’s a mysterious error message that somehow feels both vague and personal. You start Googling. Click. Back. Scroll. Click. Tab overload. Finally, you land on that one blog post. The one where someone clearly ran into the exact same issue. They walk through what went wrong, what worked, and how they fixed it. You try it on your end... and it works. You sigh in relief, grateful to this stranger on the internet who took the time to write it all down. That blog post didn’t just solve your problem. It saved you time. It got you unstuck. It gave you momentum back when you really needed it. Now, imagine your blog post doing that for someone else.

Why write for the community?

Let’s be honest: writing takes effort. But when you share your knowledge, a lot of good things happen, for you and for the people reading your work.

Here’s why joining the program is worth your time:

  1. You get paid for your time

We respect the time and effort it takes to create high-quality content. That’s why we offer $100 per published article. It's our way of saying thank you for contributing something valuable to the Contentstack community.

  2. You get recognized

Your work won’t just live on the Contentstack blog. We’ll promote it across our social channels, newsletters, community forums, and more. You’ll get visibility, credibility, and your name attached to content that helps others.

  3. You build your brand

Want to establish yourself as a subject matter expert? Need more writing samples in your portfolio? This is a great way to build authority in the tech space while talking about things you already know and care about.

  4. You help others succeed

The tutorial you write could be the exact answer someone’s desperately searching for. Your article might save them hours, help them impress a client, or spark an idea they wouldn’t have had otherwise.

  5. You contribute to the ecosystem

By documenting your learnings, you’re helping create a stronger, smarter Contentstack community. Every article adds more depth and utility to the resources available to users around the world.

What kind of content are we looking for?

This isn’t about hitting word counts or sounding fancy. It’s about being helpful, honest, and clear. We’re looking for content that comes from experience, the kind of blog you wish existed when you were stuck.

Some types of articles that work well:

  • Tutorials: Show how to integrate Contentstack with another service, or build a specific feature
  • How-tos: Walk through a problem and how you solved it, step by step
  • Real-world use cases: Share how you used Contentstack in an actual project
  • Tips and best practices: For working with APIs, organizing content models, or structuring your frontend
  • Performance or optimization techniques: Did you speed something up? Make it more maintainable?

We’re especially interested in practical and conceptual content that includes:

  • Real code examples
  • Content modeling best practices
  • Screenshots or visuals when helpful
  • Clear explanations of why you did something, not just what you did
  • Process-oriented change management content on how to work with Contentstack

You don’t need to be a pro writer or the world’s best developer; you just need to care about clarity and helping others, and we’ll work with you to take care of the rest.

Who should apply?

This program is open to anyone working with Contentstack. You don’t need a Computer Science degree or a huge online following, just some hands-on experience and a desire to share what you’ve learned.

You might be a fit if:

  • You’ve built something with Contentstack, even a small project
  • You work with modern JavaScript, APIs, frameworks like React, Next.js, Nuxt, or Astro
  • You’ve figured out clever ways to solve problems in content modeling, personalization, or frontend delivery
  • You enjoy explaining technical things to others (or want to get better at it)
  • You’re looking for ways to grow your personal brand or portfolio

In short: if you’ve been in the trenches and come out with some hard-earned insights, this is your stage.

How It Works

We’ve made the process as simple and supportive as possible. Here’s how to get started:
  1. Apply with a few topic ideas: Tell us who you are and what you’d like to write about.
  2. Get your topic approved: We’ll review it and give you feedback to shape the direction.
  3. Submit your outline and draft: We’ll be there to help with structure, style, and clarity.
  4. Work with our editorial team: No stress — we’re here to make you look good.
  5. Publish and get paid: Once it’s live, you’ll receive payment and see your work featured across our channels.

What support do you get?

We know writing can feel daunting, especially if it’s your first time publishing something. That’s why we’re committed to making the experience as smooth and encouraging as possible.

As a community author, you’ll get:

  • Personalized editorial support to help polish your piece
  • Access to our documentation and product teams for questions and feedback
  • Opportunities to preview new features before they go live
  • Invites to community events, webinars, and other collaborative spaces
  • A chance to connect with other builders who care about quality content and thoughtful solutions

This isn’t a one-off gig. It’s an invitation to become part of a growing circle of creators making the Contentstack experience better for everyone.

Quick note on AI usage

We get it, tools like ChatGPT are useful for brainstorming or outlining. But when it comes to the actual writing, we ask that you be the author. Why? Because the most valuable content comes from real experience. We want your voice, your ideas, your code, your perspective. That’s what readers connect with, and that’s what makes content trustworthy and impactful. We’ll gladly help you shape and polish your writing, but the work needs to come from you.

Ready to share what you know?

Contentstack is more than a product. It’s a platform built by people solving real problems every day. By sharing what you’ve learned, you help someone else move faster, get better, and feel more confident in their work.

If you’ve made it this far, chances are you’ve got something worth sharing. And we’d love to help you share it. Whether you have a fully-formed idea or just a vague sense of something useful you’ve done, take the first step: Apply to the Community Author Program.
